Archive for February, 2011

We have recently added several antique postcards that feature angels or cupids.  Most of these postcards are either vintage Valentine postcards or antique Easter postcards.

This first postcard is rather unique.  It shows a female Cupid dressed (for a change, usually (s)he is naked).  She is dressed in a long pink dress and wears wooden dutch shoes.  She wears her quiver full of arrows and is accompanied by a dog, a cute little dacshund.  This postcard was published in the 1900’s by Raphael Tuck and is postmarked and has a stamp.

This next postcard is a vintage Easter postcard with a beautiful, angel dressed in a long white robe.  She is sitting a dogwood tree with pretty pink flowers.  This postcard was published in the 1910s and was printed in Germany.
